Autumn Series (Day 5)

A glorious 'Spring' day greeted the 5 skippers who arrived in anticipation of a good days racing. The water in the lake was full to overflowing, the sun was shining (a little too much at the leeward mark) and the breeze was enough to move from A to B rigs within a few races. Autumn Series Day 2

With several members competing away only 3 skippers arrived to contest Day 2 of the Autumn series. Richard Whittle and Fran Fairclough battled throughout the day with, after 12 races sailed, only one point to separate them after discards, Whittle took the honours with Fairclough 2nd and Hilton 3rd.

B rigs were the order of the day until lunch, but the afternoon required a hasty change down to the seldom used C. Hugo Chandor arrived late, missing the first 4 races, to find John Sharman firmly in control of the fleet having already taken 3 of the first 4 bullets. This command was not to be challenged and Sharman closed the day with an unassailable 9 wins out of 12 races. Still more photo-finis
