Summer Series (Day 2)

Sharman proves a point! Having been absent for several weeks John Sharman (GBR 428) returned with a dominant display to prove, yet again, how well he copes with testing conditions. On what was definitely an 'A rig' day (there were times skippers may have wished for a 'B') he took the first 4 bullets unopposed and still managed 3 further wins from the remaining 6 races. Hugo Chandor (GBR 455) took 2nd with Graham Waugh (GBR 076) claiming victory in the battle with Richard Whittle for 3rd. Summer Series (Day 1) Summer is here!

Summer is here! Of that there could be no doubt. Good Easterly breezes and blistering sunshine promised excellent racing conditions for all. Peter Hilton set the scene by arriving on the deck with an enormous jug of iced orange squash and glasses for all. Sarah Norton, although not in attendance, has sent scones for everyone so it seemed that the only thing missing was the strawberries. But we were there, of course, to race.
