"Starboard, I think!"
It was one of those days we are getting used to on the lake. A day when you could almost complete a triangular course while remaining on the same tack.
With low breezes there were few close finishes yet the first places were equally shared by three skippers. A welcome return from Gary Dewhurst (GBR 479) saw him wrest second away from Richard Whittle (GBR 801) leaving Hugo Chandor (GBR 455) to take the spoils - just. Peter Hilton (434) enjoyed some fine racing but suffered from a few navigational errors and racing incidents. (I'm trying to be polite).
The Winter Series gets underway - the proof is on the hilltops!
