Day 7 in the Winter Series welcomed the return of some erstwhile absentee skippers. With six in the fleet racing proved competitive, though light winds hampered the progress of some. John Sharman (GBR 428), back after a lengthy absence stamped his mark on the day with admirable authority taking the first 7 guns and 9 out of a possible 11wins in total.
Hugo Chandor (GBR 455) looked to have recovered from a disastrous start to the day by taking the first 2 wins after lunch but soon slipped back down the fleet and finished 2nd overall with Richard Whittle (GBR 801) securing the 3rd spot.
It is encouraging to see the fleet standard rise every day, evidenced by noting that the last four positions were separated by a total of just 11 points.
