A wonderful days sailing was enjoyed by the 4 skippers who arrived expecting to employ their A rigs. Within the first 10 minutes of testing it was apparent that B rigs would be the order of the day and later a change down to the smaller C rig became essential.
A new course was set to encompass two reaches on the return leg toward the downwind mark. This was testing for all. Tremendous close racing was again the order of the day with spectacular results from all skippers over a record 15 races sailed despite the BSC Pursuit Race being held for the dinghys that needed access to our windward mark. Congratulations to the newest fleet member Graham Waugh (GBR 476) who, as predicted in last weeks post, posed a challenge to us all and, with results totted up, succeeded in beating Richard Whittle (GBR 801) to claim 2nd place overall by just 1 point.
