A B or not a B. That was the question for most of the day. With the wind fluctuating, especially around the windward mark, the decision by most skippers was to play safe and use the B rig. Hugo Chandor (GBR 455) chose the A for a couple of early races which proved costly.
All skippers agreed that the course was perfectly suited to the conditions. Sailing from the clubhouse skippers enjoyed generous runs, good reaching across the course and superb beating both from the start to the windward mark and from the leeward mark to the finish.
