Still summer, but this seemed noticeably more autumnal. With driving rain at times and gusts that forced rapid changes from B to C rigs the day held promise of a tough days racing for those that braved the elements.
The hardy four turned up as always and enjoyed a good course and some terriffic racing with yet more photo finishes.
Once again every skipper enjoyed 2nd place finishes with two skippers consistently competing for the bullets. Richard Whittle (GBR 801) took four 1st place finishes but that was not enough, this time, to take the overall win from Hugo Chandor (GBR 455). Racing should be tight on the following two Sundays. Being the final two to decide the Summer Series, Whittle and Chandor approach them tied in equal 1st position.
