Summer series (Day 9)

September 18, 2017

Challenges in abundance once again, as the peculiarities of the lake exact their toll on the innocent.

Three skippers, Richard Whittle (GBR 801), Fran Fairclough (GBR 701) and Hugo Chandor (GBR 455) arrived to do battle with light winds forecast for the entire day.

Certainly the A rig was the sail of choice but with the breezes coming in from behind the clubhouse wind shadows and pockets were always going to make the conditions interesting.

Another wonderful days racing saw Hugo Chandor take the day with 2nd place going to Richard Whittle. Interesting to note that all skippers enjoyed at least one win and both Whittle and Fairclough shared nine 2nd places almost equally resulting in yet more close finishes.
