A glorious 'Spring' day greeted the 5 skippers who arrived in anticipation of a good days racing. The water in the lake was full to overflowing, the sun was shining (a little too much at the leeward mark) and the breeze was enough to move from A to B rigs within a few races.
The returning Hugo Chandor (GBR 455) enjoyed the sunshine more than most with an almost perfect score of 10 wins from 12 races. Richard Whittle (GBR 801) took second.
The battle for third reflects the continuing rise in standards at this new club with the 3rd, 4th and 5th placed skippers being separated, after 12 races, by just 4 points in total. The countback system resulted in equal 1st places, equal 2nd places and Graham Waugh taking the 3rd spot with a superior number of 3rd places
