Today was not one for the fainthearted. Surprisingly with bitter winds and flurries of snow the temptation to get stuck in was too great for most of the fleet with 8 skippers turning out. Our best fleet of the year so far.
With a perfect wind for the D rigs blowing straight down the lake racing was almost guaranteed to be superb and so it proved.
The fact that damage was sustained (a separated mast) to only one boat was testament to the care and maintainence applied throughout the fleet. It was an excellent days racing.
After 12 races Hugo Chandor (GBR 455) took the day by just 1 point from John Sharman (GBR 428). Richard Whittle (GBR 801) fought superbly to take 3rd with the following 3 places separated by only 8 points.
If you weren't there you missed a cracker!
