7 boats on the start line made for some excellent racing. Proof, once again, that the fleet continues to improve was abundant on a difficult day.
Sarah Norton voluntarily cropped her handicap from 60 to 30 seconds and still managed 5 top three finishes to include one 1st. Darius Fard, our newest member manged two top three finishes with one 1st while further down the fleet all other skippers enjoyed plenty of time in the top 3.
Records were broken. In more than ten races races the entire fleet was together between the final leeward mark and the finish line, making for some extremely close calls. For the first time ever we sailed 10 races before lunch and a further 6 in the afternoon. This was no short course but was a more the result of quick turnarounds and steady winds.
As the weather cools our season is definitely hotting up.
