First Sailing Day in 2020

January 6, 2020

The first day of sailing in 2020 was definitely not for the fair weather skipper with temperatures of just above frizzing, light constant rain and wind speeds of over 13mph getting up to 20 mph on occasions.

Despite these conditions 6 skippers showed up to battle it out and after an intense 12 races (on “C” & “B” Sails) two skippers Graham (GBR1118) and Darius (GBR926) ended up in joint 1st position leaving one of the more seasoned skipper (Richard GBR1135) pondering what else he could have done.

The day also saw the arrival of new club member Charlie sailing his recently acquired GBR701.
